Been in London just 2 weeks ago, and I agree that beans and green pees (with minty flavor) were pretty good.

But the rest? Damn. Famous "fish and chips" where fish contained 20% of meat, 80% of batter. English breakfast with jelly egg and just tasteless bacon. Sandwich bought in Sailsbury with a meat inside (if it actually was meat) resembling grey mud. Man, if not Eastern cuisine which is everywhere there I probably couldn't survive this short trip, nevermind living there. Although I know, that it's tradition since Dickens period, where mass industrialization required a lot off people to heavily work in factories, hence rich in calories nutrition was a key.

I'm sorry, there are good thing Britons contributed to this world (like Leigh Darby, Morrissey or Magna Carta) but the food is just terrible.
